FAQ's

As an employee, my company has provided me a MyFriend account, are the details and responses I give confidential?

Yes, absolutely. Whenever you answer a question, it is immediately anonymised for your employer. All conversations are confidential, with only you having access to previous transcripts.

Can my Employer, or HR manager, see my personal details or conversations?

Your employer will never be able to view the details that you share or conversations that you are having with our “assistants”. Meaning that only you are able to review and print out previous conversations.

Does MyFriend comply with data privacy laws like GDPR, HIPAA or CCPA?

Yes. We comply with all Data Privacy Law.

What Data is collected, and who is responsible for the data protection?

We only collect minimal data, which is held for the purposes of accessing our platform, improving or localising your experience and for you to view your previous conversations and profile.

All data is securely stored within our AWS platform, and we take full responsibility for the security of all your data.

Does MyFriend offer 24/7?
Yes. MyFriend is available and ready to be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So that you are always able to speak with our assistants about your worries and concerns.
 
Does MyFriend support multiple languages?
Yes, over 190 languages are supported by MyFriend and it will respond to you in that language.
 
Can MyFriend tell the difference between minor concerns and a serious mental health condition?
 
Yes, and should it identify a serious concern, it will always advise you to speak with a professional, or a support agency in the field of your concern. Be it healthcare, financial or anything else.
 
What happens if I have a crisis or urgent issue?
MyFriend is not for emergency use. If you are facing an immediate crisis, we strongly recommend that you contact the appropriate service to help with your issue.
